This section of the web site focuses on how the participation of Burren communities and businesses in the development of sustainable and environmentally tourism in the Burren can be facilitated through the provision of information on web sites, publications, media releases, attendance at public meetings and membership of representative committees.
The project has also invested in education and training programmes to enhance awareness and appreciation of the Burren within Burren communities, schools and businesses. Schools programmes (EcoBeo and Fanore Schools Conservation Project) were designed to instill a sense of pride and responsibility amongst local children and teenagers for the future of the Burren, a Training CD was produced to provide an interactive information resource for people working in tourism related businesses in the Burren.
