Interactive CD-Rom The interactive CD and DVD was developed by Burren Connect to provide a insight into some of the fascinating and unusual featues of the Burren landscape. |
The aim of this project was to provide a useful source of interesting information schools and educational groups and for business people in the Burren who are asked these questions by visitors staying in their B&B’s, hostels or hotels, eating in their restaurants, visiting their centres and shops or travelling with them through the landscape. The CD does not attempt to be a comprehensive source on the Burren; it provides basic information in a multimedia format to guide people towards a better understanding of the Burren landscape, and recommends further reading and websites for those who wish to learn more. The CD uses photographs, text, voice-over and a quiz to impart information in an accessible way. The CD can be played on any PC or MAC, and the introductions and facts have been reproduced in a DVD that can be played on any home player. |

The CD-Rom is divided into five sections:
Each section consists of an introduction, 10 interesting ‘facts’ and a quiz with a random selection of questions to test if you have been paying attention! Each question is scored and you can have fun competing with friends, family, classmates, teachers and guests on your knowledge of the Burren.
